Here at MIPS we have been working closely with Skype to optimize the Skype CODEC for MIPS. Today Skype announced that their Skype development kit “SkypeKit” is now open to the broader development community. Skype is the de facto video conferencing tool for PC’s and is quickly becoming pervasive on all TV’s and smart phones.
